What is the FSD-1 and how does it work? The best way to describe it is that it is a transistor-based version of the classic 6G15 reverb unit without a spring tank. Instead of having an internal spring tank, it has RCA jacks on the front where you connect your own spring tank and the internal circuitry of the FSD-1 will drive to springs the give you authentic analog reverb. By doing this, we were able to keep the size of the unit down and give you a way to customize your tone by easily swapping different spring tanks. Try long tanks, short tanks, tanks with two or three springs, or tanks with different decay times. As long as the tank you select has an input impedance of 8 or 10 ohms, it will work with the FSD-1.
The FSD-1 was designed to function just like 6G15, so it is an “always on” effect without a bypass. The FSD-1 should be powered by the included 12V DC positive center power adapter.
Spring tank is not included.
